"Universe Machine," Blaun character sheet, progress
Working on the "final line" art. Here are the sketches so far. Inspired by 'the Man with No Name', portrayed by Clint Eastwood in various western flicks.
Good catch. Apparently Jeremy Bulloch once stated that he based his portrayal of Boba Fett on Clint Eastwood characters; the sound designer also gave Fett "spurs" in his step, as he described him as "Clint Eastwood in outerspace."
The original was directly based on The Man with No Name: http://home.comcast.net/~matthew_hope/images/seq8.jpg
Decided I wanted to make the designs more scifi-y, so I militarized him a bit more. Maybe resembling Boba Fett was just a natural junction, as his designs are Western, World War II inspired, and various science ficiton serials.
Looks slick, but it reminds me a lot of the fetts. Probly because those characters may be inspired by clint eastwood flicks?
